If your employer remains the same , the job remains the same and the job location is only changing by 8 miles, you have nothing to worry about. It will NOT cause any issues.
Btw - Did you talk with your company lawyer and/or your manager about this ? What is their opinion.

I also have soft LUD on 09/26 and 09/29...But the online status still shows status pending and transferred to the office.
Is ur case in NSC too.

I got a Multiple Entry Stamp.. ( last week of jan 2008)
The consulate officer who interviewed me did mention that they will try to get the passport back to me next day by 3 pm but there are chances that it might take a few days...
The next day I went to pick up my passport at 3 and it was not ready..The security guy said -> "because of the new system, the stamping is taking a while. But most of the guys have got it the next day by 5 pm.. the worst case was an H1 candidate who had to comeback after 2 days for his passport...But that was the only blip ..."
I would suggest booking ur tickets as if you were to get the passport the next day, but also buy the 52$ insurance (if you buy it on Orbitz) so that you can easily cancel and re-book it...
Also I read in several posts about who could go to halifax for stamping. Its true that only revalidation candidates should schedule but
It does not matter what employer name is printed on your existing expired VISA . You just need an existing H1 approval ( stamped) which is being extended. In my case I had only an expired stamp from my first company but I had transferred the H1 Visa to 2 employers since then without their stamp.
So this stamping was for my 3rd employer.

Your Masters should suffice for the educational requirements. 3-year Bachelors is irrelevent in this context. However your job position must nessiccitate the Master's qualification.

You should analyze this situation based both on what it does for your career and immigration prospects.
Let's say you accept the EB3 employment with the big company. Does that get you closer to where you want to be 5 years down the line?
Can you not find an equivalent company or another job at this consulting company that would be eligible for EB2? This would be the best of both worlds.
Life is about trade-offs. You've got to make the best choice for yourself weighing the pros and cons of the situation.
If you value your career over your GC and think this is the best you can do right now, by all means jump. Otherwise, be patient and find the combination of EB2 sponsorship at another more rewarding role.

Can you please tell us what the RFE was about....Did you use AC21.
Me and my spouse both have RFE....so i dont know what to expect. And I have used AC21 and changed jobs....I am just hoping it is not related to this.
The RFE was for my I20's and OPT EAD card and Marriage certificate.

This may be correct but , if you sent the tape of employer abusing /cursing its own employees to DOL along with other allegations , they might well pay special attention and scrutinize him or his company thoroghly.

Do not worry too much if your sister is innocent. Tell your family and sisters also. Keep faith. Investigation will be honest. Nothing will impact (including GC) if your sister is innocent.

The person who complainted is close to my family. He is also Indian and from same region. Recently he moved from my city. He lost couple of jewelery items this year.
My sister is very good and try to help most of the people nearby. The detective said that investigation is going on for this issue. We are so worrying on this issue.

I'd say proceed with filing 485 for now and later you can think about porting etc.
Rather try filing it yourself and save lawyer fees ($1500 per primary applicant and $2000 for primary + dependent? geez this is a special offer?)

only the primary applicant needs to take the test
It is not clearly spelled out on cic.gc.ca.(or at least I couldnt find it)...so I was confused..
Even if the Spouse is included in the application and may work in canada...even then spouse does not have to appear for test....??
Can you point me to the website for confirmation of this??

mate have you heard of thread hijacking? anyways looks like you have a weird one...when you say "resubmitted" it seems like they have lost your application once before as well? How are they accepting 485 application for you? what category are you in and whats your pd?
Filed when date was current, it returned back by USCIS error. Resubmitted with the evidence on Nov along with the USCIS letter. Is that clarify ur doubt.

Out of 105960 filed applications, 79,782 applications have been certified, and Indians have 22,298, which is almost 28 % (DOL certified EB petitions).
I was looking at the flcdatacenter website for Perm labors filed in 2006, and here are the numbers of total perm filed :
Total : 105960
India : 26636 = 25.2%
China : 8222 = 7.75%
No wonder china is moving faster in the EB categories

I think that is standard message, my I-140 RD is sep 20th 2006 and got RFE on ability to pay last month and my employer responded on 10/04 and the online status changed to RFE response received and case processing resumed. its been more than a week no update.
Strange...my 140 was filed on Nov 2006....and then got a REF on August 29th 2007, my pawyer responsed last week...and I thought that as soon as USCIS gets the evidence they will hopefully approve my case....(the evidence was a minor (atleast I thought it was minor) issue about birth date...
and now USCIS has revieved the evidence they asked for...guess what they say...
On October 10, 2007, we received your response to our request for evidence. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. 485Mbe4001 thanks for your reply. If you look at visa bulletin - Priority date for EB 3 is 1 Aug 2002. So from your reply, I gather, that they would look at processing all the applications they have on file from 2002 upto 2007 for "Latvia". And only if they end up with some visa numbers remaining due to lack of applicants, will those number be transferred to other countries.... Right??

If you've used an AP to re-enter the country ..based on I-485 filing, you can apply for FAFSA.
